MY FIRST VIOLIN
Now focusing on the fusion genre of Classical and Hip-Hop, Windy has been continuing her education in Chicago’s City College Music Education programs. With sounds reminiscent of Jazz musicians and Chicago’s Artistic flavor, she developed an aspiration to bridge the gap between music and education as a tool to empower all demographics into believing in themselves.
Windy indie utilize her expansive musicality for blending genres such as hip hop, soul, and classical music to demonstrate her discipline in the community. With the core beliefs of Jesus Christ and ideas of philanthropy grounding her, Windy continues to share her violin skills in spaces of learners and individuals in hopes of forming loving bonds with the communities Windy impacts. Raised amongst a family of educators, Windy has naturally become a Violin Instructor and has taught in several schools and youth programs across Chicago. This union of hard work and optimism has led Windy to many achievements, such as appearing thrice on Fox TV’s hit show Empire while performing in spaces such as Chicago’s Blues Festival, the House of Blues, and a plethora of private venues and shows. With dreams of opening a music school and ideals helmed in philanthropy, Windy Indie strives to connect with people on a universal scale in unity.
